Notes on improving ChickenClock.com

I think I should have more sections on chickens. Especially chicken clocks.
Perhaps a page on the funniest/most interesting chicken clock items sold on eBay.

Notes from pre-draft talk 2007.

All your thoughts sound good to me.  We should consider a Pinecrest date
change for a future year, just to mix it up.  i.e., Pinecrest weekend
sometime earlier in summer (not related to draft) and a draft at a location
where the most possible people can make it.  Draft day always the Sunday
before preseason starts.

Anyway.... we're dealing with this year right now.

So, going with the two draft locations:

1.  Pinecrest
2.  Bay Area Mimosa club

I still haven't heard from some people as to where they will be able to
draft.  McCarroll?  Dan? T-Bone?  I assume Guidry will go with Pinecrest and
that the two Robeson's will be remote drafting.

Date/Time have not changed:  Draft will be Sunday September 3rd at 10am.

Notes from pre-draft talk 2006.

Fantasy Football things I want to remember. Well, probably more like "random" things I want to remember, but this page is starting out because of the 2006 Pinecrest draft situation.

Proposal from Thad: Combine the previous year's league party (at the winner's house) with upcoming year's draft on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. I know it is a long way to wait following the end of the season, but maybe the tradeoff is we get great attendance as everyone will want to be there for the draft. Invite all the wives, kids, ex-wives, etc. which would insure we actually have some decent food to eat instead of everyone bringing a 24-pack of beer, and we'd have some babysitters for the kiddies while we draft. This could be our set yearly get-together including families...

Comments from Kevin: Feel out the situation in the months prior to 2007 draft and see if this is the direction we go. I would want people to make a weekend out of it, if we're involving the families and making the destination dependant on who wins the league from the prior year. I think just having it be the draft day would make it so the family part is kind of non-related, as you'd have the draft people and the non-draft people probably not mixing a lot. Hmm... not sure.

Response from Mac: Let me just throw in the quick objection to "ex-wives"; if Jenny were there she'd likely ask for 50% of my pool winnings for 1998-1999. I like Thad's idea...i think it's time to insert a "family" tradition for our group. i'd be happy to divorce (word choice is not deliberate) the trophy party from the draft party - hold one in February, hold the other in September. Maybe we even change the draft party to the night of the last Monday night football game of the season.
